Also in the news- Sony's DRM/rootkit scheme is backfiring bigtime, a lower bound on the number of infected machines is well over a half-million (based on dns's having the connect.sony.com address in their caches). Microsoft has now released an update to patch infected machines, but you have to be totally up-to-date on their other updates to use it, as I understand it. Meanwhile any file named $sys$* on these machines becomes invisible, so look out. . .
