morst's PITOWN 2008 (pt 0)

I'm preparing for this year's installment of blogs about the 4th Annual Cracker / Camper Van Beethoven Family Reunion Campout, held as always at Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown California. I want to have each post stand complete when I put it up, so I need to make sure my photos and audio recordings are in place before I begin. I'm working on all that gradually, and I think the material for part one is getting close. To tide y'all over, I will provide you with some delightful "filler" material.

When I arrived at Pioneertown this year, I had with me a small stack of 8 1/2 x 11 inch printouts on photo paper. I started handing them out to my friends and quickly realized that I had far more friends than I had prints. After setting aside one print for each band member from Cracker and CVB, and one for our "Den Mom" Velena, I managed to hand out my entire stack in about an hour. Well, that was a little too easy, and I know some of my good friends didn't get one. So I'm going to post it here, and anyone who wishes to can print their own, even folks who didn't attend the Crampout. I had mine printed at Lakeside Press, in Madison WI, from my 800DPI master TIFF file, but that's a little bit huge for most people to download, and probably not necessary to get an acceptable 8.5 x 11 inch print.

Here are the links to a 300 DPI version and the denser 600DPI one:

printable 300DPI version (1.8 MB JPEG)
printable 600DPI version (5.4 MB JPEG)

Print on glossy photo paper for best results. Suitable for framing, or lining the cage of your favorite pet bird.
